After posting this blog the other day about a kid and an
awesome Mom, the Mom, Priscilla Molinares posted this photo of
her amazing, courageous and awesome daughter,
Jacquelyn.
Proud Mom
Priscilla wrote on her Facebook wall on Monday, December 13th:
"My kid is in the running for school president :)"

At 9:11am I sent a facebook message to Priscilla Molinares:

"congrats on jacquelyn's run. how old is she, ifya don't mind saying.
she's not the girl you went to school for last week
that was being picked on or not?
wow.
what a little fam you have. inspiring."

Mom Priscilla Molinares honored me by taking the
time out of her busy day being an awesome Mom to say in her message
to me at
9:19am:
"I only have 1 child her name is Jacquelyn and she is 10 yrs old
in the 5th grade.
She is the one I went last week due to being bullied but she is
in advanced classes and a straight A student.
Turns out after my little talk with the girls
apparently it was election day
and each 5th grade class got to vote
and choose and she was actually nominated
and won to go in the running for
President of the school.
Today she has to go class by class and Thursday give a speech
to the entire school
afther that wait and see
weather or not
she won.
She is deff. nothing like me,
I was a terrible student
and always in trouble, Im so lucky
to have a kid like her. :)"
My one simple editorial comment is:

to have a Mom like you! :)

A Mom was on Facebook today, December 12th, and the following things happened there. With her permission I am simply printing what happened on her inspiring wall. The verbatim transcript follows. If we are going to avoid any more nuclear wars like the one we had in 1945, then we need to listen to Moms like Priscilla Molinares.
PRISCILLA MOLINARES: Well I'm about to go eat lunch at my daughters school with her, turns out she is being bullied by some girl in her class so gotta go see whats up and defend my duckling. :) 4 hours ago

PRISCILLA MOLINARES: Well I went to lunch and stayed for recess, was able to talk to the girls from the "cool" group and the outcast which was my daughter and another little girl. Not only was I able to break up the group but they actually opened up to me and we had a real conversation all apologized to my kid and I was able to raise their self esteem some. Spent all 30 minutes standing in a circle talking to them :) I feel good now. I have to wait till she comes home and see what happen after I left.

PRISCILLA MOLINARES: I love my kid ! As a single mom I'm all she has ever had so I try my best to help her anyway I can. She is very shy and well I understand because I used to be that way but now I'm outspoken and i just wanted her to know that mommy has her back. I can't always be there for her and middle school is coming next year but I'm trying my best to raise her self esteem and teach her how to handle situations on her own. I've been bullied and a bully before...just doing what I can I guess. Hopefully she will be able to handle situations like this when they come up in the future you know.

Priscilla, today is Wednesday. Please update me on her class-to-class campaigning yesterday, and tom3orrow let us all know how her speech to the entire school went. You've both won already in my book, but I'd love to know the election results. <3
